thermalite

Thermalite aircrete blocks offer high compressive strength, lightness for handling, high thermal insulation, and fire and moisture resistance.

They are also one of the most environmentally friendly aircrete products available in the UK today, made from up to 80% PFA (Pulverised Fuel Ash) - a sustainable by-product. View our Thermalite Environmental Guide.

The high level of performance combined with an extensive product range ensures that our Thermalite products are suitable for a wide range of applications.

The light weight of Thermalite blocks means that they can be laid more quickly, leading to significant productivity gains.

There's no need for special tools, or fixings, and the blocks provide an excellent background for internal or external finishes.

Case Study - Clacton Lifeboat Centre

When the Clacton Lifeboat Centre was opened in 2007, it's imaginative design and innovative use of materials was widely applauded. To add aesthetic appeal to the structure and to provide a functional purpose, Hi-Strength Paint Grade Smooth blocks from the Thermalite range were used for the interior of the building. Hi-Strength Paint Grade Smooth combines the high quality appearance that smooth faced walling demands, with the compressive strength of Thermalite Hi-Strength blocks.
