New concrete provides perfect solution for deep foundations

Hanson UK has launched an innovative new range of high performance concretes specifically engineered to address the issue of static segregation in piling and embedded retaining wall construction.

The Hanson Tremiecrete® range of optimised concrete mixes incorporates a bespoke admixture from partner Sika to address the internal stability of the concrete under pressure during, and after, placement.

The new product meets the testing requirements detailed in EFFC/DFI Best Practice Guide to Tremie Concrete for Deep Foundations and the ICE Specification for Piling and Embedded retaining Walls (SPERWall).

Tremiecrete® has a modified internal structure which allows reinforcement cages to be inserted safely and easily, reducing the risk of misalignment and cage damage/loss in poor ground conditions.

It is available nationwide as part of Hanson’s portfolio of concrete solutions, a suite of bespoke mixes for civil engineering and contracting professionals.
