Hanson UK customer service centre opens in Syston, Leicestershire

Hanson UK’s new national customer service centre at Watermead Business Park, Syston in Leicestershire opens for business today. The first wave of 150 ordering, sales administration and distribution staff has transferred from an ageing building off Ashby Road in Shepshed into One Marlborough Court and the entire 240+ team will come together by the end of the year. Hanson’s budding talent builds new infrastructure at Jamie’s Farm

A team of 11 potential senior leaders from Hanson UK’s career development programme rolled their sleeves up to make a series of improvements at Jamie’s Farm in Rowlestone, Herefordshire. Jamie’s Farm acts as a catalyst for change, enabling disadvantaged young people to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. This is achieved through a unique residential experience at its Wiltshire and Herefordshire bases and a rigorous follow-up programme, combining ‘farming, family and therapy'. Judges visit UK projects

With the research phase at the mid-way point, the UK Quarry Life Award judges have visited the four participating projects for an update on progress and to meet the students and academics involved. The projects are being carried out at Grange Top quarry in Rutland, Misson quarry in Nottinghamshire and Batts Combe quarry, Somerset.
