A highly flexible yet deformation resistant multi-layer surface/binder course treatment for roads where cracking is an issue.
The mix also delivers anti-rutting effectiveness at level three, Highways England’s highest rating.
It uses a polymer modified binder and has a relatively low surface texture that is extremely dense, protecting lower layers from water ingress.
It is available in 10mm and 14mm nominal sizes and can be laid between 35 and 100mm thick.
Laying should be carried out in line with specification BS 594987 using traditional equipment.
- Achieves Highways England’s highest wheel rutting resistance, level 3
- Greater noise reduction compared to Hot Rolled Asphalt (HRA) with Pre-Coated Chippings (PCC)
- Better spray reduction than HRA and PCC
Low speed residential road
- Industrial and commercial use
- High stress sites
